My studio offers an excellent setting for learning for students of all ages. A well-rounded approach for piano is key. Therefore, my lessons touch on theory, technique, and performance. Teaching techniques are geared to suite the level and age of the student and pace demands according to the special capabilities of every student. Repertoire and materials are wisely chosen to fit the student's needs and interests. In addition, I offer recitals and other optional performance opportunities throughout each year.

I began my piano studies in the first grade with the well-known professor and professional concert pianist, Margaret Nichols. I continued to study piano throughout college and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Ball State University.

For many years I have been teaching as well as playing professionally. My background is in the classics, but I have spent much time working as an accompanist, church pianist as well as playing in church worship bands. I am a Nationally certified piano teacher through the Music Teachers National Association.

I am an active member of the Music Teachers of America (MTNA), the Mid-America Music Association (MAMA) and the National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC).
